Gain insider access to the facility’s interior and unique historical insights not typically available during public events.
6:00 - 6:30 pm: Facility Staff Questions
Cover key questions from facility staff:
· How the food bank procures food for distribution
· Its distribution path and logistics process
· Seasonal impacts on the operation
· How to promote and support the facility
6:30 - 7:00 pm: Speaker Presentation
Speaker Presentation covering the following questions:
· Why was the Kansas Food Bank first built in Wichita?
· What do the day-to-day operations entail for Kansas Food Bank?
· What are the key maintenance operations to be completed each day, week, and month to ensure the facility continues to be well-cared for?
· How has Kansas Food Bank evolved in the last few years to serve the community and its needs?
· How does Kansas Food Bank collaborate with the partners, donors, and community organizations to maximize the outreach?
· What are the Kansas Food Bank’s goals for the future, and how do they plan to support the community in the long term?
7:00 - 7:30 pm
Lean set-up for filling boxes and other volunteer work & then the tour concludes with a group photo of all attendees and facility staff at the designated photo area.
